Get to know Dustin Creager

I grew up in Brownwood, TX for most of my childhood. My family relocated to Nederland, TX midway through my high school career and I graduated from Nederland High School. I pursued my undergraduate studies at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in 2002.  In 2008, I earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration through the University of Phoenix.

My family relocating to Southeast Texas when I was a teenager enabled me to meet my wife.  My wife, Rebecca, and I have been married for almost 17 years.  We have lived just over 14 of those years in Klein ISD. She works at Frank Elementary as a library aide. Together we share two amazing children. Our son is a freshman at Klein Cain High School where he plays football. His favorite subject is math and in his spare time we enjoy hunting together. Our daughter is in her last year at Frank Elementary. She loves to bake and spend her time with friends and family. She likes to play basketball and flag football.

I worked for Walmart for 20 years.  15 of those years was in corporate leadership and 5 years was in store operations as a store manager of three Spring/The Woodlands stores.

Three years ago, I changed careers and became a financial advisor.  I enjoy helping my clients achieve their financial and retirement goals.

Throughout my life I have always been called to service of others. I began a career in the fire service 24 years ago. I have served as a firefighter, captain, and district chief within 3 departments throughout those years.  I currently volunteer with Klein Fire Department and serve on the board of the Kailee Mills Foundation.

I have been involved with numerous youth programs in the Klein area.  I coached flag football and baseball at The Farm League for 5 years. I was a coach and athletic director for the Klein Texans for 3 years.  I served as the AAYFDT assistant athletic director for 1 year.  I have volunteered with Klein ISD for 5 years and been a member of Friends of KISD for 2 years.
